The Evangelic Tapes 001 (Audio)
Open-air preaching or street preaching by definition is the act of evangelizing a religious faith in public places. It is an ancient method of proselytizing a religious or social message and has been used by many cultures and religious traditions, but today it is usually associated with evangelical Protestant Christianity.
Supporters of this approach note that both Jesus and many of the Old Testament prophets often preached about God in public places. It is one of the oldest approaches to evangelism…

[00:00:00] Where are you from?
[00:00:05] Texas.
[00:00:07] And why are you in Miami?
[00:00:09] Because that is where he brought me. Over here. This is where God has me at right here. And he's moving people around, to be honest with you. There's a lot of people.
[00:00:13] What do you mean by that? People moving?
[00:00:15] Preachers like street preachers. He's moving pieces everywhere to where people can be at different places, like different locations, not just in Miami, but different areas. New York, California.
[00:00:26] And why does he want street preachers?
[00:00:28] Street preachers is more so. It's so that sinners, that's where they're at right in the streets right. The party lifestyle. That's what they're that's what they're seeking. So if they were to hear the message. Then one day, hopefully they can repent. You know what the sign is just basically so that they can see it with their eyes. And when they see the name Jesus Christ and he came to save sinners, well, then maybe it'll resonate with them and be like they'll think about it when they get home. They're like, "Hey, you know, I might be a sinner", you know, let me see if I can do some, scripture or some studying, to see if I can who Jesus Christ is and Jesus Christ will reveal himself to anybody however he pleases. You know, we're just here to plant a seed and that's it. That's what that's what the mission is. And hopefully it is being done like that. I hope it is. I don't know, to be honest with you, because I don't ask these people once they once once the message goes out. But we'll see. We'll see. So religion is two things. It's two different things, religion and Christianity. So religion is a man made right? Man made religion. Jesus Christ didn't create no religion. When he came to this earth, he walked with his disciples. He chose the disciples. And he told Peter that that he was going to build his church on that rock. And then and that's the true church with within the person, you know, it's within you. So it's not a manmade temple. And that's what people out here get. Get it confused between Christianity and religion. It's two different things. And people think that you should go to a church. If you go to a church, you got to go to church, you know, to be saved. No, that's false. That's false, man. It don't work like that, man. It's not. It's not a manmade temple. I mean, you can go to church and fellowship with other believers if they're really, really true Christians. But if they're not, man, you got to be careful. Because if the Bible teaches one thing and then they're twisting the doctrine to another to to make it understand on their own understanding, then it's gonna the blind leading the blind, they're all going to land, you know what I'm saying? They're going to land in the ditch in a pit, all of them. But if you got Jesus Christ as a as a shepherd, then you should be all right, you know? I mean, Jesus Christ is never going to going to lead you astray. He's always going to lead you on a strike on a narrow path. You know, I try to do it every day, bro, but sometimes I feel like, man, it's a spiritual thing we're in, bro. A spiritual warfare we're in. So basically, you know, the attacks come, you know, the enemy will attack. And if you're a Christian, if you're a true Christian, if you're being persecuted for your faith, then it's a good sign. But if you're not being persecuted, then that just tells you that you got to look into something you know, or work in something in the with Jesus Christ or get right with Jesus Christ, you know, and some way in your life or whatever. In your life, basically. That's it. Just just trying to fellowship with other believers and trying to get a good relationship with people, you know, different people. It don't matter who it is, as long as they are willing to accept the message. You know, I mean, I'm not going to judge nobody. I don't judge nobody, bro. I mean, it's just if people want to accept the message and they want to hear who Jesus Christ is and and he's able to transform them, and it's not an overnight thing. It's a it's a it's a process. You know, every day, you know, if you're living in sin and your sin is not going to disappear, like all of a sudden it's a process. But God, eventually he gets it done. You know, he the power of the Holy Spirit. Eventually, little by little, he'll start pruning the sin out of your system. So at one point, mine was fornication, okay? And I thought I would never be able to get away from that, you know, because sleeping around women, you know. Oh, man, that's man's weakness right there. So I thought I never could, but eventually he got it done. It's a testimony...because once Jesus Christ transformed somebody's soul, man or somebody, then then they feel that they have an obligation to witness what Jesus Christ has done for their life. You know what I'm saying? God sees it as whenever you come to repentance, true repentance, then you're obligated to witness, you know, about what he's done in your life. Well, the ones that are disregarding or just scoffing and mocking, those are the ones that they don't they don't have a complete knowledge of who Jesus Christ is because they haven't read the Bible, and if they have read the Bible, they haven't like got too deep into it or where they pray before they open it. So where Jesus Christ can can reveal to them the hidden treasure of what it really is, the word, you know.
[00:04:57] How do you feel standing out here?
[00:04:59] Um, it feels. It feels good. It feels good. I mean, if. If it lands on good ears, it brings joy to my heart. But if it. If people are just scoffing and all this. Yeah. It's sometimes it gets a little discouraging, you know, But eventually, you know, it's all good, man. I mean, you just got to pray for them and hopefully they come to a knowledge of the truth before it's too late and that's it. But people people will read the Bible. But that doesn't mean that that that is transforming their soul. You know, some people can read it. I mean, the devil knows the Bible, too. He'll quote you scripture left and right. It all depends on how people take it. They have to be willing to to to change their habits, their sinful lifestyle, because they're just reading it, just to read it. And then they go off and keep on sinning. There there's no conversion. But whenever you try and you want to leave that sinful lifestyle behind, then that's where God starts working in a person. It's because everybody works different, man. The God works in people in different ways. You know, it's not just all the same. It's different ways. And and it's crazy, bro, because, I mean, you probably pass by me and I never seen you before. I just straight up, just talk, talk, talk and whoever it lands on, and I guess it landed on you, in good ears or must have. Thank God it did something good. It's a good sign. It's a good sign, I guess I would say. And I'm happy, man. It brings joy to my heart, bro, because. I can just imagine if there's people out there that haven't came up to me and told me this, they're just keeping it inside their heart. But hey, you know, one day we'll see.
